How To Build Traffic To Your Website

As a website owner you should already know that you need to get traffic. It’s not like a store on a busy street where passersby just walk in. Well it’s the same with Websites; “Just build it and they will come” does not work. You have to submit your sites to the many search engines out there. Ya know, like google.com, yahoo.com, ask.com, etc. Now here is a tip for getting indexed (listed) in MSN quickly.
In fact, you can use this tip to get your new site indexed with one of the top 3 search engines in the world – MSN!
Not yet as big as Google or Yahoo, yet it is still very important to get your website indexed with this search engine because you can generate a significant number of visitors from this search site alone.
If you haven’t yet gotten your new site indexed with MSN, here’s a trick that could not only help you get indexed extremely fast, it can also help Google or Yahoo find and spider your site as well. Spiders are what the search engines use to crawl the web.
The general idea is this …
As soon as you’ve created and uploaded your new website, the first thing you should do is visit MSN.com and search for the URL path of your new site, i.e. www.yoursitename.com. Not there huh?
That is the tip; after you’ve done this, a page will show that says your page couldn’t be found within the MSN search engine listings. Look for the line that says, “If you cannot find a page that you know exists, send the address to us”.
Click on the “send the address to us” link and a page will appear that allows you to submit your site to MSN.
It’s then a simple matter of typing in the text that appears within the image, entering your URL and clicking the submit button. And that’s it. Your site is listed.
Once you’ve done this, your site could very possibly be completely indexed by MSN within a matter of hours and it’s a very powerful tip you can use to drive generic MSN traffic to your site very quickly.
